FIG PIE

The most ordinary pie. From the “grandmother’s” category. The ingredients are simple, it is not difficult to prepare, and the taste is wonderful.
Ingredients

Filling

Jam 1 cup

Potato starch 1 tbsp

Dry yeast 10 g

Milk 3.2% 150 ml

Sugar 3 tbsp

Butter 60 g

eggs 1 pc.

Egg yolks 1 pc.

Salt ¼ tsp

Flour 300 g


Step by step recipe

Step 1

Mix jam or preserves (not liquid) with starch.

Step 2


Prepare the dough: separate the yolk from the white. Use two yolks in the dough. You can use water instead of milk. Soften the butter. Knead the dough, but add flour in portions. Add the next portion of flour after the previous one has been completely mixed in. The dough should be tender, soft and not sticky to your hands. Cover the bowl with a towel and leave for 1.5-2 hours to rise.


Step 3

Roll out most of the dough on parchment paper to the size of your desired pie.
Step 4 then spread the jam or preserves in a thin layer on the dough.
then take a small portion of the dough out of the freezer and grate it, spread the dough crumbs over the pie.
Preheat oven to 210°C. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
